I read that the rebuilt portion of Hastings Way won't be salted this year, in order to protect the new concrete. Thumbs up to that. Before the haters chime in, I'm sure they'll use other methods of controlling the ice...and they'll still plow it. In the "comments" section of the article I read, a reader suggested using beet juice (which works). The he added that it "would be environmentally friendly, and get rid of beets."
Sounds like somebody was force-fed beets as a child. Poor guy.

I'm going A-Z on my iPod right now. It's a good way to realize I don't really need to hear most of the 80s pop hits that have found their way on the device. For those wanting to know, at this moment I'm on 'W'. This has been a 2 month exercise.
