--Green Day Music To Be Featured In "CSI: NY" Episode

Green Day will be providing some musical accompaniment for an upcoming episode of "CSI: NY." Songs from the punk group's ongoing trilogy of albums will "narrate" a few dialogue-free action sequences in an episode scheduled to air Friday, October 19th. Some of the new tracks likely to make the cut include "Kill the DJ," "Stop When the Red Lights Flash," "Nightlife," and more. The members of Green Day say they're "stoked" to be part of the CBS drama, while executive producer Pam Veasey says the "CSI" team is equally thrilled. Her ultimate goal for the collaboration was to "tell a story without dialogue," and she says "Green Day's music and lyrics beautifully accompanied the visuals, making it a very special episode."

"CSI: NY" is part of CBS' Friday night lineup, while Green Day's new album, "¡Uno!," is in stores now.

--Stones Set Concert Dates; Saxophonist Expects More Shows

The Rolling Stones appear to be nailing down dates and venues for their upcoming shows. Showbiz411.com says the band will perform at London's O2 Arena on November 26th and 27th, then come to these shores for two nights at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey on December 15th and 16. The Stones are also expected to play a couple of shows at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, but those dates haven't been set yet. The upcoming dates will be the band's first shows since their "A Bigger Bang" tour came to an end in 2007.

The Stones announced plans for the London and New York shows in early September, while the New Jersey dates are new additions to the group's slate of dates. And the band's longtime sax player Bobby Keys says he anticipates the road trip will grow. He tells Billboard.com that he recently got word from guitarist Keith Richards that "there was something in the wind," and to "just be ready to go." Keys adds that the Stones just might wrap up their touring career with the upcoming dates, explaining that "the reality is this train is going to pull into the last station pretty soon." He stresses that he doesn't know "how soon" that might be, and admits he's "been saying this since 1980." But Bobby says it feels like "this may be sort of the 'Sayonara, see you later, had a good time, keep in touch'" from the group.

--Mick Jagger Talks Stones Single, Bobby Keys Talks Stones Tour

Mick Jagger says the title of the Rolling Stones' new single might be a big deceptive. The singer tweets that the song "Gloom And Doom" is "not gloomy at all," but says it's "a really raunchy rocker you can dance to." He adds that it was "fun & quick to record." The Stones recorded the track over the summer in Paris. It's one of two new songs that will be on the Stones' retrospective collection, "GRRR!," which will be released in November. The group premiered "Gloom And Doom" on BBC Radio 2 Thursday morning at 8:15 a.m. London time, which was 3:15 a.m. Eastern. The song is available for downloading.

--Tom Petty Auctioning Off Favorite Car For Charity

Tom Petty is getting rid of his favorite car. He's putting his 1996 Jaguar XJS Convertible up for bid to raise money for charity. Tom says the vehicle really means a lot to him, and he has "so many great memories associated with this car." He explains that he got the Jag early on his his relationship with his wife Dana, while they were still dating, because she said it was her favorite type of car. Petty recalls the first time he and Dana took the car out for a drive, and says they were both "in heaven" as they rolled down California's Pacific Coast Highway. The rocker adds that he and Dana "sure are going to miss" the car. Petty will donate the money raised from the sale of the car to the international medical organization Doctors Without Borders. The auction opens Thursday at eBay.com/TomPetty, and will run for ten days.

--Sammy Hagar Hosting Annual Birthday Bash In Cabo

Sammy Hagar is currently in Mexico marking the anniversary of his arrival in to the world. The Red Rocker is hosting his annual Birthday Bash at his Cabo Wabo Cantina in Cabo San Lucas, and he's added some star power to the celebration. Country superstar Kenny Chesney is set to perform at the multi-day event on Friday. Sammy calls Chesney's concert "an awesome birthday present," and adds that he "can't wait to rock with Kenny and the fans." Chesney previously performed at Hagar's birthday event in 2004. He set the record for the longest performance at the Cabo Wabo Cantina with a show clocking in at three-hours-and-40-minutes.

Sammy has been rocking at the cantina throughout the week. He and the Wabos kicked off the Birthday Bash with a show on Sunday, and performed again on Tuesday. They'll also take the Cabo Wabo stage Thursday, and play the final concert on Saturday -- which is Sammy's birthday. He's turning 65 this year. Sammy's Chickenfoot bandmates Michael Anthony and Joe Satriani, former Guns N' Roses drummer Matt Sorum, and former Montrose drummer Denny Carmassi are also expected to appear at the event.

--Jack White Debuts "I'm Shakin'" Video

Jack White has fans seeing double in his new video. The clip for "I'm Shakin'," the latest release from his solo album "Blunderbuss," made its debut on Wednesday. Directed by Dori Oskowitz, It features two versions of the former White Stripes frontman, dressed in mirror image black and blue suits and trying to one-up each other in a battle-of-the-bands showdown. On one side, White is backed by his all-female band, the Peacocks. On the other, he gets support from his all-male band, the Buzzards. Both acts have backed White as he makes the rounds touring in support of "Blunderbuss." They're set to take the stage again on Friday in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and will also be performing at the Austin City Limits Festival on Saturday.

--Primal Scream Confirm New Mystery Bassist

Primal Scream is welcoming its newest member. According to "NME," the U.K. rockers have officially added Simone Butler on bass. The position was left vacant after Mani left Primal Scream last year to rejoin the reunited Stone Roses. My Bloody Valentine's Debbie Googe had previously been playing bass for the band, but she was only meant to be a touring member rather than a permanent replacement. Butler, meanwhile, doesn't bring any new alt-rock history to Primal Scream, or at least any history their reps were willing to divulge. However, more information will likely be revealed as the band works on it's tenth album, which frontman Bobby Gillespie says will be out early next year. Primal Scream's last studio effort, "Beautiful Future," was released in 2008.

--One Member Of Jailed Russian Punk Band Released

One of the three jailed Russian punk singers is once again a free woman. Pussy Riot member Yekaterina Samutsevich won her appeal in a Moscow court Wednesday, and was released after spending more than six months in jail. But her bandmates remain behind bars. The women were arrested after staging a protest against Russian leader Vladimir Putin in a Moscow church in February. They were found guilty of hooliganism at their trial in August, and sentenced to two years in prison. Yekaterina's lawyer won his client's release by arguing that she didn't actually participate in the demonstration because she'd been prevented from entering the church. Yekaterina says she has "mixed feelings" about winning her release. She explains that she's happy to be free but "upset about the girls." Her father adds that Yekaterina will continue to fight for her bandmates' freedom.

The case has gained international attention, and the group has received support from human rights groups and Western stars. Madonna, Paul McCartney, The Who's Pete Townshend, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Peter Gabriel, and Roger Waters are just some of the artists who have spoken out and written letters appealing for the band members' release.

--Swedish House Mafia On Track To Beat Adele's Bond Theme

Swedish House Mafia is on track to top the formidable combination of Adele and James Bond in the duo's native country. The U.K.'s Official Charts Company says the DJ trio's latest single "Don't You Worry Child" is currently outselling Adele's theme song for the upcoming Bond film, "Skyfall." "Don't You Worry Child" is reportedly ahead of "Skyfall" by almost 22-thousand copies, and the song looks to be heading for the number one spot on the U.K. Official Singles Chart. Adele was expected to have a firm grip on the pole position after "Skyfall" sold 48-thousand copies in the first 48 hours it was available, and entered the chart at number four last week.

"Don't You Worry Child," featuring vocals from John Martin, is the latest single from Swedish House Mafia's upcoming album, "Until Now." The set, which the group says will be their last, is due out later this month.
