--Dave Grohl Guest-Hosting "Chelsea Lately" This Week

Dave Grohl has another new gig.  The Foo Fighters frontman is filling in for late-night host Chelsea Handler all this week for a series of Grammy-related episode of her E! show, "Chelsea Lately."  Grohl started the job on Monday, and, among other things, led a roundtable discussion about Britney Spears' latest career move.  After citing a story about the pop star reportedly being passed over by Las Vegas casino Planet Hollywood in favor of a hypnotist, Grohl said Spears "just kinda seems dead inside" these days.  He joked that it seems like there's "nothing behind her eyes" and "nothing in her boobs anymore!"

Grohl's hosting gig continues Wednesday and Thursday with special guests Tenacious D and Elton John.  "Chelsea Lately" airs on E! at 11:00 p.m. Eastern.


--No Motley Crue Album In 2013, EP Possible In 2014

Motley Crue frontman Vince Neil says fans shouldn't hold their breath waiting for a new album from the group.  The singer tells MusicNewsNashville.com that the band has no plans to work on the follow up to their 2008 effort "Saints of Los Angeles" anytime soon.  But that doesn't mean the group won't have a new song or two arriving in the near future.  Motley Crue released the single "Sex" last year, and Neil says he's hearing that "maybe two or three or four more songs might come out" to go with their 2012 track.  However, the rocker adds that if it happens the band would just release those few songs as an EP, which likely wouldn't hit stores until early next year.

Neil says he's expecting Motley Crue to spend much of this year on the road.  The band will launch the Australian leg of "The Monster Tour" with KISS in Perth on February 28th.  So far the group's only other confirmed date is the Moondance Jam festival in Walker, Minnesota on July 18th.


--Mitch Ryder Involved In "Scary" Car Crash

Mitch Ryder says he, his wife, and a friend are lucky to be alive following involved in a head-on car collision over the weekend.  The rocker, who'll turn 68 later this month, tells "The Detroit News" he'd just performed in Auburn Hills Friday night, and was about a mile-and-a-half away from his South Lyon, Michigan home when the accident occurred.  He explains that a pickup truck heading in the opposite direction suddenly crossed the center line, and he "saw the headlights" rapidly approaching him.  Mitch recalls he only had "a split second to either drive towards oncoming traffic or towards the ditch."  While Ryder tried to get onto the shoulder, the pickup slammed into his car.  Police say the pickup's driver failed a field sobriety test.  Ryder admits the ordeal was "pretty scary," and adds that "Detroit nearly lost one of its icons."

Ryder doesn't share what -- if any -- injuries he suffered in the crash, but says his wife was hospitalized with minor injuries.  She was released on Sunday.  Their passenger, who was in the back seat, wasn't hurt.  Mitch adds that he still performed at a friend's birthday party Saturday night.


--North Korea Enlists "We Are The World," "Call Of Duty" For Propaganda Video

An instrumental version of 1985 charity single Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie wrote to help the hungry in Africa is now being used by another country for a very different reason.  North Korea is dropping bombs on U.S. cities in a new video set to the instrumental of the peace anthem "We Are The World."  The three-and-a-half minute propaganda video was uploaded to North Korea's official website over the weekend.  It shows an unidentified city being attacked with explosions while the United States flag flaps in the background.  The footage of the city in ruins in the video was reportedly lifted from the video game "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3."  According to the "New York Times," a copy of the video on YouTube was removed Tuesday afternoon after gamemaker Activision complained of copyright infringement.  The video comes on the heels of North Korea's promises to expand its nuclear program and conduct another nuclear test in defiance of the United Nations recent sanctions against the
