--Dave Grohl Says He's Working On New Foo Fighters Album

Dave Grohl says work on the next Foo Fighters album is under way.  After a trip to the U.K. this week, the rocker is reportedly back in Los Angeles getting things started on the band's follow-up to their 2011 effort, "Wasting Light."  Grohl shared his plans during Wednesday's BRIT Awards in London, where he and his supergroup the Sound City Players made their European debut the night before.  Grohl previously said the Foo Fighters have "big plans for the next album," but those plans still don't include a release date.  When it comes to sharing new music with fans, he only said, quote, "eventually."


--Trent Reznor's How To Destroy Angels Announce First Tour

Trent Reznor and his How to Destroy Angels bandmates are ready to embark on their first tour together.  The group's inaugural outing will follow their Coachella debut on April 12th.  Reznor, his wife Mariqueen Maandig, frequent collaborator Atticus Ross, and graphic design partner Rob Sheridan will play a total of nine shows between the festival gig and the final stop in New York on April 29th.  Plus, they'll return to Indio, California on April 19th for the second weekend of Coachella.  And while the road trip may seem brief, Reznor and company say there will be "some other announcements coming soon" that will affect the tour.  Pre-sale tickets for the shows currently on the schedule will go on sale next Wednesday, February 27th.  Fans can get more information at HowToDestroyAngels.com.


--Ex-GNR Drummer Steven Adler's New Band Announces Spring-Summer Tour

Former Guns N' Roses drummer Steven Adler is getting ready to take his new group on the road.  Adler -- featuring Steven with singer Jacob Bunton, guitarist Lonny Paul, and bassist Johnny Martin -- are set to launch the "Back From The Dead" tour next month.  The group will kick off the 40-date trek in Ramona, California on March 2nd, followed by two concerts in Tokyo with Duff McKagan's Loaded on March 7th and 8th.  But Adler will be back on the road in the U.S. a week later, performing in San Juan Capistrano, California on March 16th.  The tour runs well into the summer, with shows scheduled through July.  Adler is touring behind their debut album, also titled "Back From The Dead," which is available now.  More information on the album and tour are available at AdlerRocks.com.

--Dispute Prompts Slayer To Find New Drummer For Australian Tour

Slayer's Dave Lombardo won't be joining the group for their upcoming Australian tour.  The drummer says in a Facebook post that he was "notified" last week that the band would be heading Down Under without him, and adds that he's "saddened" and "shocked by the situation."  The dispute is apparently over money.  Lombardo explains that after putting in "a full year's sweat and blood" with the group last year he'd only been paid "a small advance," and wouldn't receive more until he "signed a long form contract" that gave him "no written assurance of how much or on what basis" payments would be determined.  Lombardo says that after reviewing Slayer's business practices, he realized that band members were splitting just ten-percent of the money they made, while the rest went to their management for "professional fees" and other expenses.  He adds that after he brought this up to his bandmates and tried to propose adopting a new business plan, he received an e-mail saying he was "being replaced for the Australian dates."  But Lombardo isn't interested in leaving the group, and says he's "hopeful" that they'll be albe to "resolve our issues."

Slayer confirms that Lombardo won't be taking part in the band's Australian tour.  The group has also issued a response to his allegations, saying the band "does not agree with Mr. Lombardo's substance or the timeline of the events."  Slayer claims that Dave approached them less than a week before they were to leave the country with "an entirely new set of terms for his engagement that were contrary to those that had been previously agreed upon," and they were unable to reach a new agreement in time to include him in the Australian tour.


--Bruce Springsteen's "Born To Run" Home For Sale

The house where Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run" was born is up for sale, and there appears to be quite a bit of interest.  Real estate agent Susan McLaughlin tells Jersey's "Asbury Park Press" that within a week of listing the property she's received roughly 80 phone and e-mail inquiries.  She describes the five room, two-bedroom, one-bath house  as a "Landmark Jersey Shore Cottage."  The house is located on West End Court in Long Branch, New Jersey.  Springsteen rented the house in 1974 and '75.  It's where he wrote the material for the "Born to Run" album."  The asking price for the home is 349-thousand-dollars.

McLaughlin adds that it's also the house Bob Dylan was apparently looking for a few years ago when he was picked up by police who did not recognize the music legend walking in the pouring rain.  She explains that at the time Dylan was visiting the former homes of a number of rockers, "just looking to get the feel of the music and pick up the vibes of these properties," but he went to West End Avenue -- not West End Court.


--Killswitch Engage Guitarist Talks Transition To New Singer

Killswitch Engage guitarist and producer Adam Dutkiewicz says the band wasn't sure what would happen as they set out to make their forthcoming album, "Disarm the Descent."  He tells "Billboard" the songs were all written for previous frontman Howard Jones, who left the group last year.  But once the band's original singer, Jesse Leach, was officially back on board, they gave him the demos and "let him run with them."  Dutkiewicz explains that he wanted the follow-up to 2009's "Killswitch Engage" album to be more aggressive, and he says Leach was able to give the songs they had "some character."  He adds that even though Jesse has a reputation for being a pretty positive person, the lyrics on the new album can be "pretty unhappy" and dark at times.  "Disarm the Descent" is scheduled to hit stores on April 2nd.
