Rock Chick Rules
1. No purchase necessary to enter. Participation is limited to persons 21 years of age or older.
2. Employees and immediate families of, Maverick Media of Eau Claire LLC, General Beverage (Miller Lite), or any other participating sponsors, their affiliates, and employees of direct market competing radio stations are not eligible to participate.
3. The contest period is April 30th to July 9th for on-location preliminaries. Formal interviews and finals will be conducted by August 1st, 2009. Winner will be announced at the discretion of 92.9 The Big Cheese.
4. 92.9 The Big Cheese will hold 11 contests at various locations as announced. Two finalists will be chosen from each location over a period of 11 weeks. In rare cases, judges may exercise the right to change the number of finalists chosen. Interested candidates will be judged on aesthetic qualities and ability to represent The Big Cheese in public appearances. Qualified judges will be chosen by Maverick Media of Eau Claire LLC. Judging decisions are final. The 22 finalists will be reduced to 11 through online polling using photos and blogs featuring the two finalists from each on-location preliminary. Formal interviews will be conducted to determine the overall winner.
5. Winner will be announced at a final appearance required to be attended by all remaining interested finalists. Overall winner must be available to appear in public at a minimum of 24 future station functions chosen by The Big Cheese. Prizes will be distributed based on a successful completion of those obligations.
6. Overall winner will receive a prize package valued at $7580 (as of May 4th, 2009) but may grow in value up to $20,000 based on participation from newly acquired Big Cheese Rock Chick sponsors. Prizes are final and cannot be substituted, modified or altered by any participating sponsor or contest winner. Non-cash prizes cannot be redeemed for cash or traded for other non-cash merchandise. Some prizes may require additional qualifications (ie, drivers licence, insurance, etc.)
7. Unclaimed prizes remain the property of Maverick Media of Eau Claire LLC, Inc. for disbursal at its discretion. Presentation of identification will be required.
8. All local, state, federal taxes, and any fees that may apply are the sole responsibility of the contest winner. The contest winner will be required to sign contest waiver/release forms and applicable tax forms in order to claim the prize.
9. Maverick Media of Eau Claire LLC reserves the right to use every entrant’s name, photo, likeness, and voice in live or recorded promotional material to be used in all media without additional compensation now or ever. Winners will be required to sign a release and waiver to acknowledge this agreement.
10. All entry information becomes property of Maverick Media of Eau Claire LLC. Entry
information may be shared with other participating sponsors.
11. Maverick Media of Eau Claire LLC and any other participating sponsors are not responsible
for any damages or injuries that may occur from contest participation, travel to and from the contests, and travel to and from any Carp promotional events.
12. If any circumstances beyond the control of Maverick Media of Eau Claire LLC or any other participating sponsors force cancellation of any part of The Carp Rock Chick promotion, neither Maverick Media of Eau Claire LLC nor any other participating sponsors are required to provide any form of compensation any period after such cancellation.
13. Maverick Media of Eau Claire LLC reserves the right to cancel or modify this contest at any time during the contest period. Maverick Media of Eau Claire LLC reserves the right to reverse decisions if a discrepancy is found.
14. Decisions of Maverick Media of Eau Claire LLC and participating sponsors are final.

GENERAL CONTEST RULES FOR MAVERICK MEDIA

The following shall serve as a basis for determining winners of all games and contests that air on all stations, unless otherwise stated by individual contest rules and regulations. In the following, “win” refers to the receiving of any item without compensation.

1. Prizes won on WECL are limited to one (1) per household per station within a 30-day period. A contestant is ineligible if they are present of past employees of Maverick Media, LLC, and its affiliates and assignees, along with their immediate families and employees of any other radio station. Maverick Media reserves the right to revoke any prize if the contestant does not meet the eligibility requirements.

2. Contestants must be eighteen (18) years or older unless otherwise announced.

3. Prizes are non transferable.

4. A winner of a prize valued over $600 must wait one (1) year before being eligible for another prize valued over $600.

5. NO SUBSTITUTION or other consideration will be offered instead of the stated prize. All items won from any of the five stations must be claimed within thirty (30) days of winning.

6. If prizes are not claimed within the stated period of time, the winner waves the right to the prize and the prize reverts to the possession of Maverick Media.

7. Winners are responsible for appropriate taxes and fees associated with the winning of ANY prize.

8. Proper photo ID is required to claim any prize. If the prize is cash of more than $100 in value, a social security identification, such as a social security card, passport, or paycheck stub, is ALSO required.

9. A 1099 MISC form will be completed and filed with the IRS for every prize or accumulation of $600 or more. All local, state and federal taxes, license and fees are the sole responsibility of the winner.

10. During any contest involving communication through the telephone lines, should a contestant be disconnected from the utilized phone line before the contestant’s correct name, phone number, and response are recorded; they will be instantly disqualified from the contest without compensation. The following sequential caller shall be given the opportunity to win. Maverick Media is not responsible for problems occurring within the telephone system, which either inhibit or increase the chances of winning.

11. Winners may be required to sign a release. All winners agree to allow Maverick Media to use their name, voice and/or likeness, portrait, and biographical information for promotional purposes without further compensation. All calls coming into any of the five stations may be taped and may be aired on the station without further approval.

12. By winning any items from Maverick Media, the winner and the user of the item(s) releases Maverick Media, LLC from any responsibility to any incident related to the use of the item(s). Incidents include (but are not limited to) cancellation or alteration of event, expiration of item, bodily injury or death.

13. Additional rules pertaining to other station contest(s) may not supersede these rules.

14. Maverick Media reserves the right to add, delete and/or alter rules at any time.

15. Maverick Media reserves the right to cancel any contest at any time.

16. Disputes regarding these rules will be settled by the GM of Maverick Media. All decisions are final.

17. By entering a contest, participants agree to abide by these rules.
